Terms
and Conditions

We
would like to thank Melissa Dean from Benshiva
Border Collies for the use of their Terms and Conditions.
We have changed it slightly to suit our kennels and only people
willing to sign will be considered for a puppy.
|
| Congratulations
on your new Mystiqview puppy |
We at Mystiqview
hope that your new puppy brings you years of companionship and
love. Because we believe that all our puppies are special and
deserving of the very best in life we will only sell to homes
that will agree to the following terms and conditions:
|
| Terms
and Conditions Of Sale: |
If the
dog cannot be kept for any reason - at any time in its life
that we are contacted and given the opportunity to take the
dog back for re-homing. Our biggest fear is to find out one
of our babies was surrendered to the RSPCA, dog pound or even
worse, euthanasia.
The dog must receive all required vaccinations, periodic worming,
constant flea and tick treatment and any other maintenance treatment,
that being whatever your veterinarian advises. The dog must
receive any necessary veterinary treatment, whether for accident
or illness, routine or emergency. Be safe, not sorry.
You must advise us immediately if any
condition arises that affects the dog's health. This is very
important, as we are responsible breeders that must take into
consideration any hereditary problems that may occur. We need
to keep on top of hereditary problems. The only way for us to
do this is with your help. We place a high importance on the
genetic health of our dogs. To this end all our Border Collie
breeding stock has been DNA tested for CEA (Collie Eye), CL
(Ceroid Lipofiscinosis) and Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS).
You will agree to enroll your puppy in a puppy pre-school program
(a lot of vet practices run these). They encourage responsible
pet ownership and help to instill correct behavioral patterns
early on. Because the Border Collie is a working dog, we strongly
encourage you to undertake a course in basic obedience as well.
If you do not know of an obedience club close to you, we can
make enquiries on your behalf. REMEMBER, a Border Collie is
a very intelligent animal, if not continually challenged, it
may become bored and destructive.
Any puppy
that is sold as a companion will be placed on the Limited Register.
This means that the puppy is still regarded and registered as
"purebred" but cannot be used in a registered breeding
program and cannot be shown. The dog can still participate in
any of the Canine Control Council regulated dog sports such
as Obedience, Herding, Agility and Jumping, Tracking and Endurance
tests as a registered purebred. Therefore, you will agree to
have it spayed or neutered before the age of one. You will also
agree not to use your Mystiqview dog/bitch in any breeding program.
Please advise us when the dog has been desexed. If we do not
receive confirmation by the dog's first birthday, we cannot
be held responsible for the dog or it's progeny's well-being.
REMEMBER, we promote responsible dog ownership. Even though
we would like to think so, not all dogs are good enough to breed
from. We need to also take into account the time, cost etc that
goes into breeding a litter of puppies. Wanting to let the children
see "Flossie" have some puppies is not a good enough
reason to have a litter. DESEXING IS THE MOST RESPONSIBLE OPTION.
Any puppy bred by Tracie Thompson will have the prefix Mystiqview.
The Mystiqview prefix is registered and recognised by the Canine
Council of Queensland and governing bodies. All buyers must
sign this purchase agreement (contract) prior to the puppy's
release and prior to the release of the puppy's registration
papers (whether they be on full or limited register). Puppies
placed on the Main Register are eligible to be used in a registered
breeding program and can be shown. Any Main Registered puppies
sold with the Mystiqview prefix will remain in joint names.
There are no exceptions.

| Above
all else, please enjoy your new companion. May he/she bring you
years of happiness! |
| We
at Mystiqview Kennels believe that all our dogs are special and
deserving of the very best in life, therefore, we agree to the
following:
All dogs
living at Mystiqview Kennels receive the utmost care and devotion
at all times. All puppies born here at Mystiqview/Yautjatrail
will spend the first four weeks of their life inside with us
receiving extensive socialisation and health care. After the
age of four weeks they will be gradually moved into the kennel
complex for socialisation with the other dogs.
All puppies will receive all vaccinations, worming treatments
and veterinary attention up until the day they leave our care.
You will receive all original relevant documentation such as
eye certificates, vaccination certificates, hearing certificates
etc. You will also receive relevant copies of the sire/dam’s
health certificates.
We believe in social interactions with outside influences. Your
Mystiqview puppy will be exposed to normal household noise (eg
Vacuum cleaners), children, strangers, vehicle travel and socialisation
with other dogs. All puppies shall have extensive socialisation
with other animals, humans etc before leaving our kennels. Your
Mystiqview puppy will have attended at least one
veterinary-run puppy school class before leaving our kennel
at 8 weeks.
To ensure that you receive the healthiest and happiest puppy
possible we advise that you be mindful of what strangers and
situations you place your puppy in before the age of 16 weeks.
We also will insist that you do not take your puppy to any local
off lead-park until it has gained all its vaccinations at 12-16
weeks. You do not know what diseases/infections are carried
in these areas and while a dog may be vaccinated, it does not
prevent it from carrying a disease/infection.
Anyone wishing to visit the puppies must remove all footwear
and wash their hands before entering the puppy enclosure. We
need to remain ever careful about hygiene, especially with the
deadly Parvovirus is so easily transmitted. No one will be allowed
to visit with the puppies unless authorised to do so by Tracie
Thompson, and may only do so if accompanied by one
of us.
Until puppies reach the age of 8 weeks, we can only advise the
availability of sex of puppies available. This is the earliest
that we can assess puppies for either retention at Mystiqview
or to potential show/performance homes. REMEMBER, even if your
puppy is not considered the best in the litter it does not mean
that it isn’t a well bred puppy. They all share the same
genes and are all purebred Border Collie puppies.
The cost of the puppy is available upon application. The cost
includes all veterinary care and feeding etc whilst in our care.
This also includes relevant health tests and registration of
the puppy with the Canine Council of Queensland. (Either on
the full register or on limited register).
When the puppy is released into your care, we will provide you
with an information pack advising you of diet, health disorders
within the breed, training and as much information on the care
of your puppy as we can provide. We promise to maintain an interest
in the well-being of the dog once it leaves our care. Please
remember we would love the occasional visit and/or photo of
your puppy.
|
Lastly
a word of advice; please do not put much emphasis on markings
when purchasing a Border Collie puppy. Nowhere in the breed
standard does it say that a Border Collie is only purebred if
classically marked. If the litter were bred to work, colour
and markings would be the last thing taken into consideration.
The different markings that each dog has is what make this breed
and each dog unique.
If you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions,
please do not hesitate to discuss them with us.
