With much thanks
and love, Jemma (Kirbyholme Jemas Instyle C.D.) came into
my life from the lovely family at Kirbyholme Kennels on the
Sunshine Coast, Qld. I was fortunate enough to see her at
7 days old and she just fitted into my hand. The love blossomed.
With help and guidance from Cora at Kirbyholme, we set off
training and gained her first leg in a novice sweepstakes
at 18 months. Three trials later, we had our Companion Dog
Title.
Cora had another
litter on the ground, I was seeking another male dog for the
place and had asked her to keep me in mind. She had replied
that she had a bitch left in the litter. We took the drive
and Kirbyholme Skyes Dalimit came bounding around the corner
to attack my shoelaces. It seemed I had my second dog. A few more years have gone by and from my humble beginnings, I have
found a style and type of dog I love. It is with great anticipation with the first litter to be bred soon from my homebread girl, Mystiqview Fire Inth Sky I hope to develop a breeding program based on temperament, structure and style.
My passion is
obedience and competition sports. Although I do not compete
in agility due to injuries, it is a sport which captures the
heart and soul. My aim at Mystiqview Border Collies is to
breed dogs of sound conformation and excellent working ability.
Since catching the "obedience bug" I have attended
training and behavioural seminars when ever I can. There is
nothing like seeing an animal and their owner working as a
team.
Mystiqview Border
Collies was founded at Samford Valley on Brisbane's northside
with five acres of rolling hills and a large dam where the
dogs just love to play and swim. We are now located at Wishart
on Brisbane's Southside and share ourselves with Yautjatrail
Siberian Huskies. Proving the border collie a versatile breed
to move from open spaces and live in suburbia.
A couple of years
ago, an old bushy had taught me to plait leather. Today, at
Mystiqview quality hand-plaited leather leads are made to
order. Colours available subject to kangaroo hide availability
from the Narangba tannery. Leads feature a quality brass or
nickel buckle, nylon core for added strength and one coat
of oil added to prevent rot in the leather.
